Don’t get too caught up about it

Stress can be a huge factor in someone’s life and trying to conceive a baby should not contribute to stress in any way. If you allow getting pregnant to consume your life, it could actually have the opposite effect on the outcome.

People find that when they let the pressure of trying to get pregnant become a problem, they will have troubles getting pregnant at all. While trying to get pregnant, try to keep yourself busy with other activities instead of analyzing every single symptom you may feel. If you become too obsessive over getting pregnant, it will make each month feel terrible if it doesn’t occur.

Rather than giving yourself a letdown each month, try but don’t make it a priority over activities in your life. If you can keep a positive attitude overall, you may find you are pregnant quicker than if you are obsessing over the subject.

Get rid of bad habits

When you decide you want to become pregnant, quitting all harmful vices is recommended.

Look out for your hormonal patterns

The best ways to get pregnant would be to listen to the signs your body give you each month. If you have an idea as to how long your average menstrual cycle lasts, you will have a better chance in knowing the optimal time to try to conceive.

Subtract fourteen days from the average length. This cycle day is around when you have the highest chances of conceiving a baby. Start having intercourse four or five days before this day each month for optimal conception chances.

Use an ovulation calendar

If you want to increase your chances even further, try using an ovulation calendar to track your cycles. This is done by taking your basal body temperature every morning and looking for the spike in temperature by at least .2 of a degree. When your temperature stays elevated for at least three days, you most likely ovulated on the day before the temperature change. Having intercourse on that day would have increased the chance of pregnancy.

The trends can be analyzed to determine on which day you ovulate each month so the next month you can try having intercourse around that time of the cycle.

Skipping a day between each day you have intercourse will allow your partner’s sperm to rebuild itself for the next day, giving you a better chance at stronger sperm.

Using ovulation predictor tests along with charting can really have you hone in on when you ovulate each month. After a few cycles, you will be much more aware of the right timing to have intercourse.
